BIOGRAPHY

Passani Gualtiero was born in Carrara in 1926, he pursued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts School specializing in watercolor in which the city of Vienna was held at the Galleria " Modern Art - Ungarnasse ." His first painting activity dates back to 1948 when he founded with some friends , the Association of Art Visual Arts which so many painters and sculptors joined Carrara organizing a collective exhibition at the Art Gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts on March 15, 1953 with the help of critical Prof. Alessandro Parronchi and the sculptor Emilio Greco .

In 1952 the school Passani was inspired by the impressionistic look with interest to the great French painting .

In 1956 his name appeared in the Bulletin of the Venice Biennale .

In 1960 two of his works were purchased by the lawyer for the President Del Fabbro of the Republic , the Hon. John Gronkowski .

In those years he experimented with the technique of collage using different materials and was geared towards an abstract painting without neglecting , however, definitely the figurative . His works are in the Public Library of La Spezia, the Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Palazzo Pitti in Florence, the Italian Consulate in Vienna, at the Gallery of the Cabinet Prints University of Pisa , and in other public and private collections in Italy and abroad. Gualtiero Passani was active until the late 70s , after which he slowed down his public involvement for health reasons , but privately continued his work as a painter .
